The Salvador Dali region
The history of the Costa Brava has been marked by the presence of numerous artists who succumbed to its charm. Picasso, Marc Chagall and Klein all stayed here and left their mark. But it was Salvador Dali, who was born and died in Figueres, who gave this part of the Catalan coastline its worldwide reputation. It is in this region, in the village of Cadaqués, that the painter's House Museum is located. It was here that Salvador Dali painted the majority of his works.
